Viewing And Managing Jobs

How to find, open and manage jobs

Contents

Once jobs have been created, the main jobs area becomes the place where your team finds work, checks progress and opens a job to update it.

Opening the Jobs Area

To view jobs, go to the main menu (9 squares next to the logo), then choose View Jobs from the Jobs section. You may also see a shortcut on the home page.

This area is designed to help you move quickly from a list of work into the full record for a single job.

Searching and Filtering Jobs

As your list grows, search and filtering become the quickest way to find the job you need. Depending on how your team has set up jobs, you may be able to search by job code, type, status or other saved fields.

Use filtering whenever you want to narrow the list down to the work that matters right now, for example:

  • jobs at a particular stage
  • jobs for a certain type of work
  • jobs matching a known number or keyword

Opening a Job Record

When you open a job, you will usually see the main details, the current status, any linked records, and the job's timeline of activity and tasks.

This gives you a complete working view of the job so you can answer questions such as:

  • what this job is for
  • what stage it is at
  • who or what it is connected to
  • what has already happened
  • what still needs to be done

Keeping Jobs Easy to Manage

Good job records are kept up to date. Whenever something important changes, make sure the job reflects that change rather than relying on memory or messages outside the system.

In practice this means:

  • keeping the status current
  • linking the right records
  • logging important activity
  • adding follow-up tasks when more work is needed

These everyday actions are covered in the rest of the Jobs basics guides:
