How to setup reports for your data

Reporting
Mashoom's Fuzzy Data engine allows you to generate customised reports from the data stored across all Mashoom modules. Reports can be tailored by selecting a population, applying filters, choosing how the information is displayed, and exporting or sharing the results.
How to find the report section
Start by clicking on the three by three dots next to the Mashoom and Look for the Reporting module. It may be in a different location depending on the modules you have however it will look something like this:
click on the bottom one called "Data Reporting" to start making a report.
Population
On the right hand side of the screen you will see four sections, click the first option which should say "Population". The Population section determines the records that will be included in your report. This is the first step when creating any report. After selecting a population, you can refine the results by applying one or more filters. Filters allow you to include only the records that meet specific criteria or exclude records that are not relevant to your report. Check out the filtering user manual for more detail.
Report type
On the right hand side of the screen you will see four sections, click the second option which should say "Report Type". This is how your data will be presented. Depending on what you selected for your Population will allow different wats to display your data. Selecting the appropriate report type ensures the data is displayed in the most useful format for your intended audience.
Configuring Report
On the right hand side of the screen you will see four sections, click the third option which should say "Options". The Configuring Report section controls which fields appear in your report. Unlike the Population filters, which determine which records are included, the report configuration determines what information is displayed for each record. You can select the columns that are most relevant to your report, allowing you to customise the output to meet your requirements.
View
On the right hand side of the screen you will see four sections, click the fourth option which should say "View". This allows you to generate your report. After generating it you can do four things with it. You can save the configuration for later quick uses. You can also get a url link for it allowing you to easily spread your report. Also you can regenerate it if any of the data used in your population changes by clicking the blue button on the right labeled "Regenerate". Finally you can set up auto regeneration of your report meaning you don't have to worry about your report not containing new data.
Auto-Regeneration & Static URL
After saving a configuration the "Setup Auto-Regeneration" and "Setup Static URL" button should turn blue.
Clicking onto the "Setup Auto-Regeneration" button will take you to a menu where you can select when to start it automatically refreshing ensure that the data is up to date and no using old data.
Clicking onto the "Setup Auto-Regeneration" it will bring you to a menu make sure to read it as it contains important information. Firstly report generation gets deleted after 14 days automatically, however, if you have Auto-Regenerate on then it will stop this. Secondly static URLs allows the latest generation to be download directly, without logging in. Making them ideal for importing into other analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel. Finally anyone with the link will have access to the data meaning this link should be refreshed often as well as treating as sensitive information.
Once created two buttons appear "Regenerate URL" which allows you to make a new URL and stops the old URL from working. The second button is disable URL which deletes the current and previous URLs stopping them all from working. Also to close this menu just click anywhere off of the menu.
Recent Reports vs Saved Reports
The main different between recent reports and saved reports are how easy they are to share and update. Recent reports only allows you to manually refresh the report and download it compared to Saved Reports allow you to set up auto-regeneration and static URLs making them easy to share and means you don't have to worry about your report running on old data.
