Handing Off A Form
To to pass ownership of a form, prior to its completion, to a colleague within the company for checking or completing.
Forms on Mashoom can only be edited by one person at a time. The "Hand off" facility allows ownership to be transferred to another user, either for checking or for further work.
Each form template can have be set where a "Hand-off" is required and so the signature changes if "handed off". A form filler can also be presented with a choice of whether to "hand-off" or not to allow flexibility in this workflow.
If the form has been configured by an admin to require hand off, when the form is completed, the user will see the following dialogue, asking who to send the form to, via an email input. The recipient will receive an email notification that the form ownership has been transferred to them.
Or if "Hand off" is at the choice of the engineer when they complete the form, they'll see the following interface.
This form can now either be "Pass this form....." to another party for completion using the latter's email address on the left or "It's finished: complete form" by the engineer themselves, on the right.
